Wow.
Its Funny. If you had asked be 5 years ago, even 10 years ago that i would have a legit running website i would have scoffed at you. As you all know i have been shooting since 1987, but shooting professionally since 2015. Along the way i have tried various ways to get the word out about what I do. Whether it be on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (i refuse to call it X) or even BlueSky), word of mouth, business cards and most recently (since 2021) Adobe Portfolio.
I wont knock any of these methods but Adobe was probably the most interesting since I attempted to turn it into something that it wasn’t intended to do, That was become a full functioning website. My mentality was, since i had some knowledge I could turn it into more than it was, and with it also being free (the F word everyone loves!) it gave me more motivation.
But here we are, 5 years later, The traffic i had hoped to gain hasn’t happened. Not to any fault of anybody but simply the fact that i haven’t kept up with the Joneses so to speak. Im smart enough to keep up on photography trends, But I am also a little slower on the marketing aspect! When you run things solo, it is definitely a learn as you go.
So now Squarespace has entered the picture. I’ve contemplated it in the past. I just hate the idea of spending money if it doesn’t generate a roi (return on investment). In 2026 however and still in the same place i started, what do i have to actually lose?
Will Squarespace be the missing link? or will it be in another line of misaligned attempts to make a career out of something i love and not just an “occasional” job. We shall find out!
If you’re here for the blogs, Ill try to keep them up to date as much as i can
If you’re here to see the projects, they’ll be coming
If you’re here for the merch, Stay tuned.
I got lots of ideas for this. Especially now that i have the tools to do so.
Lets get er done!
