The Start of Timmahgraphy

When i came up with the Timmahgraphy name it was one of those inadvertent things. I actually blame the tv show South Park for it. Right at the actual peak of the show, my friends ex girlfriend used to call me Timmah. Now if anybody knows anything about the show, you now who Timmy is. Well for whatever reason, she wouldn’t call me Timmy (which probably would have ticked me off just as much because only one person in my entire life got away with calling me that as an adult lol) so she would always say Timmah. She knew how i felt about it but continued the joke while they were together. Then it caught on to my other friends.

After about 5 years of hearing this I waved the white flag and gave up fighting. This is how you turn a negative into a positive. I decided whatever i did, it would be “Timmahgraphied” . My lisc plate says Timmah, My photography is Timmahgraphy. If i could change a word to Timmah i did. I took it over. I embraced it.

Obviously, someone who isn’t in on the joke won’t know the whole Timmah situation. So how do i run with the Timmahgraphy name as a photographer. I needed a slogan.

A slogan that would be the “a-ha” moment.

A slogan that would be easy to remember.

Then out of the blue someone actually asked me after seeing some of my stylized work.

“What kind of photography do you actually do”

It was like i got hit with my lightning rod moment. Up to this point I didn’t know what to say. Then out came the slogan that has followed me since 2015

“It’s Not Photography. It’s Timmahgraphy”

Timmahgraphy was officially born!
